Internal and external structural load bearing wall removal

Internal and external structural load bearing wall removal

Here we removed two load bearing walls separating the kitchen from the dinning room and dinning room from the hallway, in this instance the first floor is a concrete block and beam floor which is incredibly heavy, this meant that we had to double up our usual support method to remove the walls and install the steel beams.

The bearings for the steel work had to be demolished and re built to take the new loads.

This was a very challenging project and Lewis was always available to discuss options

Lewis did a fantastic job on our project and we are very pleased with the end result. This was a very challenging project and Lewis was always available to discuss options, honest about what was achievable, open to suggestions and happy to implement them. The building works were completed to a high quality standard, on time and on budget. The team were very pleasant to have around, punctual and polite, but most importantly they treated our home like theirs, taking every effort to keep the place tidy and clean in order to minimise the disruption. We would highly recommend Lewis and would happily use him again for further building works

This created a complete open plan from the front door through the new kitchen dinner to the utility room.

We removed and re built the staggered utility room masonry wall to create a flat kitchen dinning room wall to install new stylish radiator.

We also removed the existing windows from the dinning room and installed a new lintel to create a wider opening for new patio doors.
